A case of stolen letters leads Sherlock Holmes into a long conflict with Charles Augustus Magnussen (Lars Mikkelsen), the most hateful villain of the history of the hateful villains! If you watch the episode and don’t have Goosebumps.

The sadistic newspaper proprietor with a rather unusual love for blackmailing, Magnussen, has something on Mary, and Sherlock come for the rescue, finding the answer in his ‘mind palace’. We see more about how his deduction process work, and a little bit more of his past. We learn a bit more about Mary past too, who she was, and the moment John finds out is magnificent.
Although the resolution was a bit poor, the episode itself were well created. The hateful villain has a short participation, but who really wanted to see him more? Ugh, he is the worst.
Now, rest for us to wait to the season four, if it comes. And now, the worst, lowest cliff-hanger ever!!!
